14 May 2026 — Brief Pia Chat notification delay (≈11 min)
Pia Chat notifications were held back by an average of 11 minutes between 14:23 and 14:34 IST because a third-party messaging service we rely on briefly capped how fast messages could go out. Every message was delivered. No data lost.
02 May 2026 — Receipt scanning ran slow (≈45 min)
Receipt scanning slowed from about 3 seconds to about 12 seconds between 10:11 and 10:56 IST. Cause: we shipped a bad setting to the receipt-reading system, which then rolled itself back automatically. No data lost; no drafts failed.
How we communicate during an incident
- This page updates first — the banner at the top changes within 5 minutes of detection.
- If you're a paying shop, you get a message inside 15 minutes of confirmation.
- Post-incident, we publish a written post-mortem within 14 days for anything that affected more than one shop. Linked here under the incident.
- We do not silently resolve. Every incident on this page closes with “Resolved” and a one-line root cause.
How to report something we're missing
The fastest way: message our team directly. The second fastest: email founder@hey-pia.com. We'd rather chase one false report than miss a real one.
What this page doesn't do (yet)
We don't yet run a separate status dashboard with live green/yellow/red graphs and automatic alerts. It's on the roadmap, targeted for Q3 2026.
